Butte County Board of Education will Award
High School Diplomas to Veterans

operation graduation sealVeterans in Butte County who missed completing high school due to military service in WW II, the Korean or Vietnam Wars, or due to internment in WW II Japanese American relocation camps, may receive their high school diplomas.

Diplomas are being awarded by the Butte County Board of Education through Operation Graduation. Family members may also submit an application to recognize a qualifying individual posthumously. The Butte County Board of Education will be honoring Butte County Veterans and awarding diplomas at their regular Board Meeting on Monday, October 14, 2013. The meeting is open to the public. Operation Graduation will introduce the 2013 Graduates at a ceremony on Monday, November 11, 2013 during the City of Chico’s Veteran’s Day Celebration. The deadline to apply to receive a high school diploma is Friday, September 20, 2013. Participation in the ceremony is optional.

There is no charge to participate in Operation Graduation!
